ELLENDALE, N.D. - Dakota State had five players score in double digits as the Trojans rout Trinity Bible (N.D.) 80-45 Saturday afternoon at Ray Ulmer Fieldhouse.
DSU snapped their four-game losing streak and improved their overall record to 2-4. Trinity Bible dropped to 4-3.
The Trojans held the Lions to 28 percent shooting from the field in the first-half as DSU grabbed a 33-22 halftime lead.
Dakota State outscored Trinity Bible 47-23 in the game's final twenty minutes.
Courtney Hamblin scored 17 points off the bench for the Trojans. Kylie Westover added 15 points. Julie Munson had 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out five assists. Katy Pillar and Jayda Swenson each had 11 points.
Swenson recorded eight rebounds and four assists for DSU. Cassie Jacobsen had four steals.
Treva Nutter had 14 points for Trinity Bible. Tatiana Alualu added 11 points. Hannah Kovarik had eight points and pulled down nine rebounds.
DSU shot 44.9 percent from the field (31-for-69) compared to the Lions' 32.7 percent (17-for-52).
The Trojans outrebounded Trinity Bible 47-35. DSU outscored the Lions 26-0 in bench points.
Dakota State continues their action on the road on Saturday, Nov. 26. The Trojans travel to Sioux City, Iowa to take on No. 5 Briar Cliff. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. at Newman Flanagan Center.
