MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State (S.D.) held off Presentation (S.D.) 5-3 for the third straight North Star Athletic Association baseball victory Saturday at Flynn Field, thanks to Trey Randel's career-high nine strikeouts on the pitching mound in seven-plus innings.  The Saints shut down the Trojans 3-0 in the four-game series finale.  It was the second time this season that the Trojans won the NSAA four-game series.

Dakota State is 16-17 overall record on the season and is currently in tie for fourth place in percentage points (.500) with Dickinson State (N.D.) (7-7 NSAA conference record) after Saturday's games.  It was the first time since the 2016 season that the Trojans won at least two NSAA four-game series.  Presentation is 7-33 overall record and 3-15 NSAA conference record.

The Trojans conclude their season-high six-game home stand on Tuesday, hosting the NSAA's conference leader No. 25-ranked Bellevue (Neb.).  The first game of the doubleheader is set for 3 p.m.
