DALLAS, Texas – Will Clair tossed a complete game shut out to help Dakota State (S.D.) extend their winning streak to three games with a 2-0 victory over Dallas Christian at DCC Baseball Field.
DSU raised their overall record to 9-5. Dallas Christian fell to 6-13 overall record. Both teams will play their second meeting on Saturday afternoon.
The Trojans face NCAA Division III Blackburn (Ill.) in the second game at Dallas Christian.

- After the first two outs were recorded in the top second inning, Chris Burke drilled a double for the Trojans. Jackson O'Neal followed up with a walk.
- Walker Hultgren produced an RBI single to score Burke to give DSU a 1-0 lead in the top second frame.
- Mason Macaluso and Jace Pribyl kicked off the top fourth inning with back-to-back singles. Burke hit a sacrifice bunt to advance Macaluso to third base and Pribyl to second base.
- O'Neal produced an RBI sacrifice fly to score Macaluso to balloon DSU's lead to 2-0 in the top fourth.
- The Chargers could not past the second base throughout the game, securing the victory for the Trojans.
- Macaluso led DSU with two singles. Hultgren added a single and an RBI. Burke had a double and a walk. Pribyl, Ryan McDaniel and Kameron Bryant each recorded a single.
- Manny Velenzuela led DCC with a double. Stefon Reyes and Gustavo Silverio each added a hit.
- The Trojans outhit the Chargers 7-3 in the game. DSU left seven runners on base compared to DCC three runners left on base.
- Clair (W, 1-2) earned the victory on the pitching mound for Dakota State. He yielded three hits and struck out eight Chargers' batters.
- Ryan Bailey (L, 0-3) recorded the setback, despite pitching a complete game for Dallas Christian. He gave up two runs on seven hits. He recorded four strikeouts.
