MADISON, S.D. - The Dakota State University's Rocket League made a dominant appearance in their first match of the CCL fall season going 3-0 over Bismarck State (N.D.).
The Trojans opened the best of five series with an overpowering first round score of 5-0, thanks to Cody Farland and Collin Bradberry with two goals, two assists, and one save each. Zach Olsen scored the final goal of the match, securing the first round in favor of the Trojans.
In the second match, DSU went 2-0 (with two assists and one save), while Bismarck State scored one (one assist and seven saves). The Trojans continued to pressure the Mystics' defense, eventually, Olsen pushed two goals through with assists from Farland.
The Trojans rallied and commanded a strong appearance in the third match. Farland led the Trojans with two goals, one assist, and one save. Bradberry contributed two goals while holding off the Bismarck State's offense. Olsen closed out the series with a final goal, giving the Trojans a third match win, and series ace.
Rocket League will play next Sunday (Sept. 24) at 7 p.m. against University of Nebraska.
