COLUMBIA, Mo. – Senior
Caleb Sayler of Dakota State (S.D.) produced his personal NAIA national meet record time Friday morning at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, hosted by Columbia (Mo.). The 69
th annual NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship featured a total of 326 runners in the 8K race.
Sayler clocked a time of 25 minutes, 24.4 seconds to finish 136
th for the Trojans. He represented the North Star Athletic Association individual national qualifier after placing fourth in the conference meet on Nov. 8 in Valley City, N.D.
He also improved his personal racecourse time. Sayler recorded a time of 25 minutes, 28.4 seconds in the Gans Creek Classic, hosted by NCAA Division I University of Missouri, on Sept. 27.
The NAIA Cross Country National Championships officially concluded the 2024 season. The Trojans will prepare for the NAIA Marathon on Dec. 8 at the California International Marathon in Sacramento, Calif. The indoor track & field season officially opens on Dec. 6-7 at South Dakota State Holiday Invitational and Multi-events in Brookings, S.D.
