BROOKINGS, S.D. – Nine different Dakota State (S.D.) women's indoor track & field athletes produced personal records at the NCAA Division I meet, the Jim Emmerich Invitational hosted by South Dakota State at Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Gabriella Peitzmeier highlighted the Trojans with a personal record 15.64 meters (51 feet, 3.75 inches) for a 10
th place finish in the weight throw. Her toss is the fourth farthest in the school record book.
Bella Maxwell added a personal record 15.39 meters (50 feet, 6 inches), which is the seventh best indoor weight throw mark in school history.
Kiana Mounga posted a personal record 14.38 meters (47 feet, 2.25 inches) mark.
Other DSU weight throwers results included
Lilly Young – 13.93 meters (45 feet, 8.5 inches),
Rebecca Hazlett – 12.75 meters (41 feet, 10 inches),
McKenna McIlravy – 10.15 meters (33 feet, 3.75 inches), and
Mia Mather – 8.65 meters (28 feet, 4.5 inches).
Maxwell led DSU with 11.66 meters mark (38 feet, 3.25 inches) in the shot put.
Lilly Young added 10.76 meters (35 feet, 3.75 inches), followed by
Casey Olson with 10.47 meters toss (34 feet, 4.25 inches), and
Alivia Bickett with 10.27 meters throw (33 feet, 8.5 inches).
Olson cleared the height of 1.35 meters (4 feet, 5 inches) in the high jump.
Anna Schneider collected a third-place finish in the 600-meters for the Trojans. She clocked a time of 1 minute, 39.63 seconds, which is the fifth fastest time in school history's 600-meter run.
Amelie Steins posted her personal best 9.37 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles prelims. Her time is the fifth fastest time in school record book. She also leaped 5.00 meters (16 feet, 5 inches) in the long jump.
Steins led the Trojans with a time of 1 minute, 1.52 seconds in the 400-meter dash.
Shakiera Gronenthal added a personal best 1:08.38 in the race.
RayLee Wallis clocked a time of 8.39 seconds in the 60-meter dash prelims for DSU.
Bridget Bartling added a time of 8.42 seconds, followed by
Averie Marshall with a time of 8.47 seconds.
Marshall clocked a time of 28.45 seconds in the 200-meter dash. Gronenthal added a time of 30.38 seconds.
Presli White registered a personal best 2:27.38 in the 800-meter run.
Lindsey Roth ran a time of 3 minutes, 6.66 seconds in the 1000-meter run for the Trojans.
Saddie Palmquist added a career best 3:19.40 in the race.
Kierra Miller hit a personal record time of 5 minutes, 30.25 seconds in the 1-mile run.
A pair of DSU runners produced personal records in the 3000-meter run, paced by
Brooke Beaucaire with a time of 10:58.04.
Madelyn Sylva added a time of 11 minutes, 3.32 seconds.
Dakota State returns to Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex next weekend for the two-day South Dakota State D2/NAIA Open. The first day of events start Friday at 3 p.m. and continue next Saturday at 12 p.m. in Brookings.
