AUSTIN, Texas –
Braxton Lacher of Dakota State (S.D.) was listed on the 2024 College of Sports Communicators Academic All-America® First Team for special teams' position, announced Tuesday morning.
He was selected to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District® Team earlier this month for the Trojans.
Lacher was a member of the 27-man Academic All-America® NAIA football team.
Lacher completed his impressive football career at Dakota State as a two-time North Star Athletic Association Football Snapper-of-the-Year for DSU (2023, 2024). He did not register any bad snaps during special teams plays.
He was also named to the 2024 North Star Athletic Association Football Champions of Character recipient for Dakota State. He earned the NSAA Football All-Conference First Team accolades in 2023.
Lacher had received Scholar-Athlete awards from the NAIA national and NSAA conference levels at DSU.
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 NAIA Academic All-America® program.
Braxton, a native of Watertown, S.D., graduated from Dakota State University last December with a major in biology.
