MADISON, S.D. – The Dakota State University Trojan women's soccer continues to make history Monday morning, earning their first-ever conference player-of-the-week.
Onika Kline has earned the first-ever Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week award.
Kline played all ninety minutes as a center back and limited Waldorf (Iowa) attack as the Trojans picked up their first ever victory in program history with a 4-1 road win. The Blandon, Pa., native attempted two shots for the Trojans. She also was instrumental in building the team's offense attack from the back line and caused multiple problems for the opposition by exploiting space by dribbling and distributing the ball.
Onika is a freshman production animation major at Dakota State University.
Dakota State closes out their regular season schedule with a contest at Buena Vista (Iowa) Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and at Dordt (Iowa) next Wednesday (Oct. 22) at 5 p.m.
