LINCOLN, Neb. –
Amelie Steins of Dakota State (S.D.) competed on the first day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational, an NCAA Division I indoor track & field meet hosted by the University of Nebraska. Numerous NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA schools competed in the two-day indoor track & field meet at Devaney Center Indoor Track.
Steins posted a time of 9.30 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles prelims, finishing 14
th overall for the Trojans.
She leaped 4.86 meters (15 feet, 11.5 inches) on her first attempt in the long jump. She followed up with 4.75 meters (15 feet, 7 inches) on the second attempt and improved to 5.02 meters (16 feet, 5.75 inches) on her attempt. Steins did not advance to the final round as she finished 11
th overall.
Dakota State continues their action on the second day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Saturday.
