MADISON, S.D. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2024-25 NAIA Women's Basketball All-America Teams Monday morning. It marked the sixth straight year that a Trojan women's basketball athlete had been listed on the All-America accolades (Jessi Giles in 2020, 2021, 2022; Elsie Aslesen in 2023, and
Savannah Walsdorf in 2023, 2024).
Tabor Teel, 5-foot-11 junior forward, was named to 2024-25 NAIA Women's Basketball All-America Second Team. She was named to the North Star Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Year, NSAA All-Conference First Team, and NSAA All-Defense Team earlier this month.
Teel led the team with 13.8 points (415 total points) and 8.2 rebounds per game (247 total rebounds) for the Trojans in 2024-25. She was 153-of-253 from the field (47.1 percent) and 85-of-120 from the free-throw line. Teel also led the team with 34 blocked shots (1.1 blocks per game).
She averaged 14.1 points (212 total points) and 7.9 rebounds per game (119 total rebounds) during the North Star conference season (15 conference games).
Teel led the North Star Athletic Association in rebounds per game (8.2) and eighth overall in points per game for Dakota State.
She ranks 10
th in the Trojan women's basketball career record with 107 blocks since 2022-23 season. She also ranks seventh in single season rebounds with 247. She scored 35 points versus Mayville State (N.D.) on Feb. 14 at DSU Fieldhouse, which is fifth most points scored in a single game in DSU women's basketball school record book.
Tabor, a native of Colton, S.D., is a junior business major at Dakota State University.
Dakota State completed another stellar season with an overall record of 25-5 (tied for fifth most wins in a single season with the 1999-2000 squad). The Trojans also earned their fifth straight North Star Athletic Association Women's Basketball regular-season title and captured their third conference title in the past five seasons.
DSU also qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for five straight seasons, advancing to the Second Round this season.
