July 2, 2025

MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State (S.D.) released their 2025 women's and men's cross-country schedule, which features five regular-season meets and a pair of postseason meets.

Alex Glover, who begins his first season as the Trojan cross country head coach assisted by Taylor Hauge and graduate assistant Caleb Sayler, will be taking their teams to the Augustana (S.D.) Twilight meet at Yankton Trails in Sioux Falls on Sept. 5.  This cross-country meet will see athletes running 'under the lights' with numerous colleges from NCAA Division I to NAIA levels.  There will be high school cross-country meets prior to the college meet, starting at 6:40 p.m.  The college women's race is slated for approximately 8:30 p.m., followed by the men's race at 9 p.m.

DSU will make a trip to Sioux Center, Iowa, twice this fall for a pair of Dordt (Iowa) cross country meets.  The Trojans take their first trip on Sept. 13 in the Sunflower Open.  They return to Sioux Center on Oct. 11 for the Holiday Inn Express Classic.

The Trojans will take two weeks off before returning to action on Oct. 4 for the Briar Cliff (Iowa) Invitational in North Sioux City, S.D.

Dakota State wraps up their regular-season schedule on Oct. 25 in the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic, hosted by Doane (Neb.) in Ashland, Neb.

The Trojans begin their new conference era in the Frontier Conference meet, competing in the championship meet on Nov. 7.  The conference meet is hosted by Rocky Mountain (Mont.) at Amend Park in Billings, Mont.

The NAIA Cross Country National Championships will be held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla., on Nov. 21.

DSU women's squad captured the final ever North Star Athletic Association Cross Country Championship last season in Valley City State (N.D.), while the men's team finished second in the standings.
