Tabor Teel of Dakota State (S.D.) was tabbed as the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women's Basketball Defensive Player-of-the-Week, the 12
th edition of the weekly honor was announced Monday afternoon. It was the second straight week that she had received the weekly honor and her fifth time this season (fourth time earning the defensive weekly honor this season from the Frontier Conference).
Teel recorded a career-high seven (7) blocks in fueling No. 7 ranked Dakota State to their 73-56 home victory over No. 12 ranked Montana Tech in the battle of NAIA's Top 15 teams and Frontier Conference's supremacy. The Trojans also ended the Orediggers' nine-game losing skid.

th most single-game blocks in the Trojan women's basketball record book.
Teel averaged 5.5 defensive rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game to help DSU go 2-0 record for the weekend, including an 81-62 home win over Montana Western.
She scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds versus Montana Tech on Jan. 19. She followed up with 13 points and seven rebounds versus Montana Western on Jan. 20.
Dakota State moved in a three-way tie for first place in the league with an 11-2 record each with Montana Tech and (RV) Carroll (Mont.).
Teel is currently No. 19 in the Dakota State women's basketball scoring list history with 1,090 points. She is also seventh in the all-time rebounds with 712 rebounds and eighth all-time with 141 blocks.
Teel ranks fourth in the Frontier Conference in overall scoring with 15.8 points per game. She is also second in the league with 10.4 rebounds per game and total blocks with 34, and fifth in field goal percentage (51.8 percent). She leads the Frontier with 76 total assists.
Tabor is a native of Colton, S.D. She majors in business marketing at Dakota State University.
The Trojans (16-3 overall record) conclude their three-game conference home stand Friday evening versus Bellevue (Neb.). The Coaches vs. Cancer game is set for 5 p.m. tip-off at DSU Fieldhouse.
