KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA national office announced the postseason poll for the 2025 Netting Professionals NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Monday. Dakota State (S.D.) ranks No. 25 with an overall record of 8-2 and collected 106 points to poll.
The Trojans were one of the five Frontier Conference teams to be listed inside the NAIA's Top 25 postseason poll. College of Idaho ranks No. 4 with 11-2 overall record and 395 points, followed by Montana Tech at No. 5 with 12-1 overall record and 373 points. Carroll (Mont.) remained at No. 13 with 9-3 overall record and 273 points.
Montana Western fell to No. 18 with 7-3 overall record and 195 points.
Dakota State finished second in the new Frontier Conference East Division with 5-1 record, despite falling to Montana Tech in the division opener on Oct. 4, 2025. The Trojans closed the season strong by winning five consecutive games, which included an undefeated home record at Brian Kern Family Stadium on Blankley Field (5-0 record).
The Trojans matched their most wins since 2017 season (8-3 overall record) and finished No. 23 in the postseason poll.
