MADISON, S.D. — The Dakota State University women's soccer team has officially punched its ticket to the 2026 California Pacific (Cal Pac) Conference Women's Soccer Tournament, marking another milestone for the Trojan soccer program.
The Trojans secured a spot in the conference postseason tournament following the latest Cal Pac postseason qualification announcement on Sunday. It marked the second consecutive year that the Trojan will be competing in the postseason conference tournament (last season in the Continental Athletic Conference postseason tournament).
Dakota State, competing as an affiliate member of the Cal Pac Conference in women's soccer, will have an opportunity to compete for the league's postseason championship and a potential berth in the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship.
The Cal Pac Conference Tournament will bring together qualifying teams to compete for the conference championship and its automatic berth to the NAIA national tournament. The other three teams that qualified for the Cal Pac Conference Tournament are Westcliff (Calif.), Simpson (Calif.), and Pacific Union (Calif.). Stanton (Calif.) has been eliminated from the postseason action.
Dakota State's tournament opponent, seed and match information will be announced as the conference finalizes its postseason bracket, depending on Thursday's match between Simpson and Pacific Union. The winner of that match will be the No. 2 seed (a tie would also give Pacific Union the No. 2 seed) and face No. 3 seed Dakota State in the Cal Pac Conference tournament's semifinal match, while the loser will take on the top-seeded Westcliff in the other semifinal match-up.
The Cal Pac Conference Tournament will take place at Orange Park in Irving, Calif., on Nov. 8 and Nov. 10.
