DAKOTA STATE'S DAVID MOE EARNS 200TH CAREER COACHING VICTORY
Dakota State University women's basketball head coach
David Moe reached a significant career milestone on Oct. 24, 2026, recording his 200th career coaching victory as the nationally ranked Trojans defeated Walla Walla (Wash.).
The milestone marks another achievement in Moe's tenure leading the Trojan women's basketball program. Under his leadership, Dakota State has developed into a nationally competitive NAIA program, earning national rankings and establishing itself as a contender in postseason competition.
Moe's 200th victory adds to his growing list of accomplishments as he continues to guide Dakota State during the 2026-27 season.
During his tenure, Moe guided the Trojans to five consecutive North Star Athletic Association regular-season championships from 2020-21 through 2024-25 and earned six consecutive NSAA Coach of the Year honors from 2020 through 2025. His teams have made multiple appearances in the NAIA national quarterfinals, highlighted by the program's first-ever national semifinal appearance during the 2022-23 season, when Dakota State established a school record with 29 victories. That record was later broken during the 2025-26 season, where the Trojans hit 30 wins after winning the Frontier Conference regular-season championship and another appearance in the NAIA national tournament's semifinal.
