Two Trojans named to Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball First Team All-Conference

Ojukwu and Morgan each earned First Team All-Conference in first year with Frontier Conference

MADISON, S.D. – The 2025-26 Frontier Conference men's basketball All-Conference teams and individual awards winners were announced the day before the postseason tournament on Feb. 26 in Butte, Mont.  The twelve (12) head coaches in the conference were not permitted to vote for their own players.

Dakota State (S.D.) landed two recipients on the Frontier Conference First Team All-Conference. 

Nathan Ojukwu, a junior forward, led the Trojans in scoring with 16.9 points (474 points).  He is second in the Frontier Conference in scoring average.  He also ranks fourth in the league with 7.2 rebounds per game (201 total rebounds).

Ojukwu was 181-of-381 from the field (47.5 percent) and 54-of-157 from the 3-point arc this season for the Trojans.  He also dished out 77 assists and stole the ball 35 times.

He averaged 16.6 points per game on his 139-of-293 field goals (47.4 percent), 47-of-132 from the 3-point line (35.6 percent), and 40-of-57 from the free-throw line (70.2 percent) during 22 Frontier Conference games.  He also posted 6.5 rebounds average during the league season.

Lukas Morgan, a sophomore forward, was eighth in the Frontier Conference with 16.1 points per game (386 total points) for Dakota State.  He was 147-of-307 from the field (47.9 percent) and hit 73-of-99 from the free-throw line.  He averaged 4.7 rebounds per game (113 total rebounds).

During the Frontier Conference season, Morgan averaged 17.3 points per game (311 total points) on his 116-of-249 field goals (46.6 percent) and 63-of-83 from the free-throw line (75.9 percent). 

Dakota State finished their 2025-26 season with an overall record of 18-10.  DSU's 18 wins is tied for sixth most single-season victories in the Trojan men's basketball record book with the 2011-12 team.  The Trojans also produced seven consecutive wins during the season, which is tied for third longest streak in the record book with the 1991-92 and 1963-64 squads.

The Trojans posted a new single-season school record of 13 conference wins in their inaugural Frontier Conference year (previous high conference wins were 12 wins in the former Dakota Athletic Conference in the mid-2000's). 

Dakota State also posted the fifth best single season field goal percentage as a team at 48.2 percent (772-of-1,603 field goals).
