KANSAS CITY, Mo. – More awards and honors are piling up for Dakota State's (S.D.) senior forward
Tabor Teel as the NAIA national office released their 2025-26 Women's Basketball All-America teams Monday morning. Teel was named to NAIA All-America First Team, her second straight year that she was named to All-America teams (Second Team in 2024-25 season).
Teel became the second time in program history to be named to true back-to-back NAIA All-America teams during Division I era, joining Jessi Giles where she was named First Team in 2021 and Second Team in 2022.
It marked the seventh straight year that Dakota State landed at least a recipient to the All-America teams (First Team, Second Team, Third Team, and Honorable Mention – note: Honorable Mention is now discontinued).
The past DSU All-America women's basketball athletes included Savannah Walsdorf (First Team in 2024; Honorable Mention in 2023), Elsie Aslesen (Third Team in 2023), and Jessi Giles (Second Team in 2022, First Team in 2021, and Honorable Mention in 2020).
Teel produced one of the most historic single-season records in Dakota State's history, breaking the records for most points with 606 (previous record was Giles with 603 in 2021-22) and most rebounds with 379 (previous record was Julie Fiegen with 283 rebounds from 1985-86). She was second in the single season record for field goals made with 235 field goals and tied for 10
th in free-throws made (99 with Dawn Gaffney in 1997-98).
Teel started in all 36 games this season for DSU, helping the Trojans to their inaugural Frontier Conference regular season title and advancing to the NAIA national's semifinals for the second time in the past four seasons. She also was named to the Frontier Conference Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Year, her second straight year earning the league's Player-of-the-Year award (North Star Athletic Association in 2024-25).
Teel was named to the Frontier's First Team All-Conference and All-Defense teams for DSU. She was named to the NAIA Women's Basketball All-Tournament Second Team.
She averaged 16.8 points and 10.5 rebounds for Dakota State. She produced 21 double-doubles during the season. Teel was 235-of-472 from the field (49.8 percent).
Teel led the Frontier Conference with 135 assists and ranks second with 67 total blocks.
Dakota State finished their 2025-26 season with an overall record of 30-6, the most single season school record wins.
