NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced 175 nominees for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Teams last week, recognizing student-athletes and head coaches from every level of college football who are making an impact through community service, academic achievement, and leadership.

A total of 162 college football student-athletes recognized for leadership in service, academics, and athletics.  This year's nominees are creating positive impact in their communities through causes ranging from maternal health and youth mentorship to supporting children with disabilities and veterans.

Senior full safety Aidan Jahns of Dakota State (S.D.) was one of the 49 student-athlete nominees from the FCS, Division II, III, and NIAA ranks.  The 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September and include 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach.  One student athlete will also be selected as team captain and receive the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy.

A native of Rochester, Minn., Jahns distinguished himself as a leader both on and off the field throughout his collegiate career. A two-time North Star Athletic Association Conference Scholar-Athlete and NAIA Football Scholar-Athlete, he has been a defensive starter while contributing on nearly every special team's unit for the Trojans.

Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Jahns has made a lasting impact through service and leadership. He serves on Dakota State's Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) leadership team, helped organize the university's Fields of Faith event, and shared his personal faith testimony with fellow students and community members. He has also volunteered extensively at youth football camps, campus outreach events through Tri-Beta, and community service projects benefiting organizations such as Gift of Life Transplant House, Feed My Starving Children, and Summer of Service. In his hometown, Jahns mentors local high school kickers and regularly assists elderly residents with yard work and snow removal.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team honors student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional dedication to community service, academic achievement, and leadership. Jahns' nomination reflects his unwavering commitment to serving others while representing Dakota State University with integrity, humility, and excellence both on and off the football field.
