MADISON, S.D – The Dakota State University Trojan football team took stage in the 2026 Frontier Conference East Division virtual media day, presented by IMA Financial, earlier this week.  DSU is in their second year of the Frontier Conference.

Eighteenth-year head coach Josh Anderson along with senior quarterback Tray Hettick and sophomore linebacker Kaden Van Otterloo talked about their upcoming season through virtual media with Frontier Conference's Commissioner Dr. Scott Crawford and emcee Rocky Erickson.

Dakota State begins their 2026 season on Saturday, Aug. 29, as they host Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) at Brian Kern Family Stadium on Blankley Field.  Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.

The Trojans finished their 2025 season with an impressive 8-2 overall record and 5-1 record in the Frontier East division contests.  DSU finished No. 25 in the final 2025 NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 national poll.
