THIS WEEK
The Dakota State University Trojan women's soccer team (0-7-2 overall record) travels to Missouri for three matches with members of the American Midwest Conference. The Trojans make their first stop Thursday late afternoon at 4:30 p.m. versus Columbia (Mo.) (5-1-3 overall record, No. 17 in the latest NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 poll). The match takes place at R. Marvin Owens Field in Columbia, Mo.
DSU continues their action Saturday afternoon in Columbia, Mo.,visiting Stephens (Mo.) (3-2-2 overall record). The match is set for 1 p.m. at Battle High School. The Trojans close the trip on Tuesday, visiting Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) (0-6-0 overall record). The match is being played at Blackwell Field in Hanninbal, Mo., with a 1 p.m. kick-off.

LAST TIME OUT
Dakota State continued its non-conference schedule with matches against Dordt (Iowa) and Morningside (Iowa). The Trojans earned their first draw of the season with a 1-1 result against Dordt before falling 3-2 at Morningside two days later.
Dordt took a 1-0 lead into halftime before Dakota State responded in the second half.
Aislyn Holden scored the equalizer for the Trojans, her second goal of the season, as DSU held on for the 1-1 draw. The Defenders held a 12-6 advantage in shots and a 9-3 edge in shots on goal, while Dakota State goalkeeper
Ivey Winckler recorded eight saves.
The Trojans then traveled to Sioux City to face Morningside. After a scoreless first half, the Mustangs opened the scoring in the 56th minute before Dakota State answered with two straight goals.

Ella Pletcher gave DSU a 2-1 lead in the 67th minute. Morningside rallied with goals in the 83rd and 85th minutes to escape with a 3-2 victory.
Through eight matches, Dakota State is 0-7-1 overall. The Trojans have scored six goals this season, with
Aislyn Holden leading DSU with two. Dakota State has recorded 49 shots and 28 shots on goal while its goalkeepers have combined for 49 saves.
ABOUT (17) COLUMBIA (MO.)
Columbia enters Thursday's match-up with a 5-1-3 overall record. The Cougars compete in the American Midwest Conference and are coming off a 2025 season in which they finished 12-5-2, won both the AMC regular-season and tournament championships and advanced to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.
Lauren Robb is in her second season as Columbia's head women's soccer coach. In her first season, Robb guided the Cougars to their 11th consecutive AMC tournament championship and 12th regular-season title. She previously spent seven seasons as head coach at William Woods (Mo.), compiling a 70-48-13 record and earning two AMC Coach of the Year awards.
Columbia is coming off a scoreless draw against No. 14 John Brown (Ark.) on Sept. 19. John Brown held a 19-7 advantage in shots, but the Cougars limited the Golden Eagles to six shots on goal. Goalkeeper Charlie Williams stopped all six attempts to help Columbia record its fourth shutout of the season and extend its unbeaten streak to four matches.
Columbia leads the all-time series 1-0 after defeating Dakota State 8-0 last season in Columbia.
ABOUT STEPHENS (MO.)
Stephens enters the week with a 3-2-2 overall record under second-year head coach Don Trentham. Trentham joined the Stars in 2025 after more than two decades of coaching experience at the NAIA, NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and professional levels. He previously served as an assistant at Columbia College and spent nine seasons as head coach at NCAA Division II Montana State Billings.
The Stars are coming off a 1-0 victory over Greenville (Ill.) on Sept. 16. Amaura Austell scored just over three minutes into the match, and Stephens made the early goal stand for the remainder of the contest to earn its third victory of the season.
Stephens leads the all-time series 1-0 after defeating Dakota State 3-2 last season in Columbia. DSU recorded 11 shots and nine shots on goal in the match.
ABOUT HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE (MO.)
Hannibal-LaGrange enters the week at 0-6 overall. The Trojans have faced a difficult early schedule, including matches against Graceland (Iowa), William Woods (Mo.), Webster (Mo.), Principia (Ill.), Governors State (Ill.) and Avila (Mo.).
Lucas Almeida is listed as Hannibal-LaGrange's head women's soccer coach for the 2026 season, with Kristoff Burkett and Gideon Ward serving as assistants.
Hannibal-LaGrange's most recent completed match was a 9-1 loss to Avila (Mo.) on Sept. 16. The Trojans are scheduled to travel to Blackburn (Ill.) on Sept. 23 before returning home to host Dakota State on Sept. 29.
Hannibal-LaGrange and Dakota State did not meet during DSU's inaugural 2025 season, making Tuesday's matchup the first meeting between the two programs.
