Deveon Moses (2025) - Football

#2 Deveon MosesDeveon Moses of the Trojan football team was selected to the DSU Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year. 

Moses piled up numerous athletics accomplishments for the Trojans last fall.  He tied the NAIA in most interceptions with Dijion Walls of Morningside (Iowa) with seven interceptions each.  Moses tied the second most single-season interceptions (Josh Button in 1993, Jeff Rensch in 1991, and Rick Tibbits in 1978) in the DSU football record book (Noah Guse holds the school record with eight interceptions in 2021).

He collected the awards in 2024 fall as the NAIA All-America defensive back, Associated Press (AP) NAIA Football All-America First Team, and North Star Athletic Association Football All-Conference First Team.

Moses was named to the NSAA Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week twice during the 2024 season, as well as earning the NAIA Football National Defensive Player-of-the-Week on Sept. 16.  His highlights included catching two interceptions in DSU's 16-6 homecoming victory over Jamestown (N.D.) at the Brian Kern Family Stadium on Blankley Field.  He returned a 'Pick Six' of 60 yards to secure the victory.

Moses also caught two interceptions in Trojans' 7-0 road victory at Mayville State (N.D.) on Nov. 9, 2024.  He finished the season with 31 tackles and eight break-ups.
