Brady Banse begins his first season as the Dakota State University (S.D.) Assistant Baseball Coach.
Prior to arriving at Dakota State, Banse served as the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Western Technical College in Wisconsin. He was primarily responsible for the development of the pitching staff while also promoting his program to prospective student-athletes from around the country. He also assisted his players in placing them at 4-year institutions upon completing their eligibility.
"I am thrilled to have Coach Banse as my assistant coach," said DSU Baseball Interim Head Coach Geoff Schaab. "He brings another added shot of enthusiasm, is a grinder and understands what we are trying to do with the future of DSU Baseball."
Banse played collegiate baseball at Riverland Community College (Minn.). After completing his time at RCC, where he comprised a 14-4 career record (second-best in school history) and a Junior College World Series appearance, he received a scholarship to the current-NCAA Division I University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Banse finished his collegiate career at fellow North Star Athletic Association member Viterbo (Wis.), where he was an All-Conference Honorable Mention recipient.
Upon graudation at Viterbo University in 2014, Banse stayed in the La Crosse, Wis. area and worked within the Food and Beverage industry serving in a variety of Sales and Marketing roles.
Brady is a native of Marine on St. Croix, Minn., where he graduated from Forest Lake Area High School. He currently resides in Madison, S.D.
