JD Kirchner, a Lennox, S.D. native, begins his first year as a graduate assistant baseball coach at Dakota State University. His primary duties consist of coordinating outfield development and play, and various program operations.
Kirchner transitioned from one of the best pitchers in program history and two-year team captain at Dakota State to joining the coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach. During his career as a Trojan, Kirchner was an All-America and three-time North Star Athletic Asslciation All-Conference pitcher that left his name in several individual season and career records, most notably in career appearances, strikeouts, and saves.
Kirchner graduated with a bachelor of arts in business finance and management. He is now pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in sports leadership.
