Steve Steele returns to DSU for a second campaign and adds Co-Offensive Coordinator to his title.  He will now coordinate the Trojans' run game in addition to coaching the offensive line.  He will also serve as the team's Recruiting Coordinator.  Last season, he helped the Trojan offense break the school record for yards in a season and mentored two All-Conference selections.

He came to Madison from William Penn University (Iowa) where he was a four-year letter-winner on the offensive line.  In his time there, the Statesmen went 33-12 winning the 2010 Mid-States Football Association conference championship and breaking the NAIA's national rushing record for yards in a season.  Steele was voted All-Conference his senior year and had two Daktronics Scholar-Athlete awards.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his degree in Secondary Education and Biology in 2012 and received his Master's of Science in Educational Technology from Dakota State University this past summer.  Steele is a native of Freeland, Mich. and attended Saginaw Nouvel Catholic Central High School.  He resides in Madison.
