Steve Steele is entering his fourth year at Dakota State and second as the Trojans' Offensive Coordinator.  He is also responsible for coaching the offensive line and handling the programs' academics.  He has mentored seven (7) All-Conference selections and 1 America Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) NAIA First-Team All-American in his three years at DSU.

His first campaign as an Offensive Coordinator saw the Trojans' offense break the school record for total yards in a season as well as the record for most points scored in a season.  Steele also teaches for the College of Education at Dakota State University.

He came to Madison from William Penn University (Iowa) where he was a four-year letter-winner on the offensive line.  In his time there, the Statesmen went 33-12 winning the 2010 Mid-States Football Association Conference Championship and breaking the NAIA’s national rushing record for yards in a season.  Steele was voted All-Conference his senior year and was twice named a Scholar-Athlete by Daktronics.

Steele graduated Summa Cum Laude with his degree in Secondary Education and Biology in 2012 and received his Master’s of Science in Educational Technology from Dakota State University in 2013.  Steele is a native of Freeland, Mich. and attended Saginaw Nouvel Catholic Central High School. He resides in Madison with his wife, Audrey.
