Tyler McFarland is starting his first year coaching at Dakota State.  McFarland is a recent graduate of Chadron State College where he played mostly defensive back during his time with the Eagles.  He earned a Bachelors of Science in Education with endorsements in History, Social Science and Coaching.  McFarland will be pursuing a Masters in Educational Technology while at DSU this year.

McFarland has also been a volunteer coach for high schools in his hometown of Boise, Idaho and for Corona del Sol High School in Chandler, Ariz.  McFarland will coach the tight ends and slot receivers for the Trojans this season.
