Peterson is a 6-time SDHSAA medalist in several individual and relay events. In his final year with the Philip Scotties, Peterson placed 5th in the 1600M, 10th in the 800M, 2nd in the 3200M, and aided his teammates in the 4x800 for a 2nd place finish at the SDHSAA State Track and Field Meet.
