Alexandra Holland is in her first season as the Dakota State Trojan softball assistant coach. She will be the pitcher and infield coach as well as recruiting coordinator for the Trojan softball program.
Prior to coming to Dakota State, Holland was an assistant coach for the Galveston College softball team. Her primary responsibilities included coaching the pitchers and infielders. She was also part of the coaching staff for Texas Glory Fastpitch organization for the past five years, where she advanced the high school student-athlete's skills and helped with the recruiting process.
Holland graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in communications. She also played college softball for UHV for two seasons. She was named the 2013 NAIA Player-of-the-Week, NAIA All-America Second Team, and Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) All-Conference First Team.
During her two years at Houston-Victoria, Holland played in 99 career games and compiled a .359 batting average with 77 runs batted in (RBIs), 56 runs scored, 21 doubles, 7 triples and 8 home runs. She also registered a career record of 16-9 and an earned run average of 2.91 in the pitching circle.
Holland is an Arp, Texas native and currently resides in Madison with her 8 year old Shih Tzu, Ily May.
