Dakota State University

Abbey Cook is entering her fourth year as the head athletic trainer at Dakota State University.

Prior coming to DSU, Cook was the head football and baseball athletic trainer at Miles College in Fairfield, Ala.  She was part of back-to-back Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championships for football and multiple SIAC Western Division Championships for both football and baseball.

Prior working at Miles College, Cook served as the head athletic trainer at Morthland College and Frankfort Community High School (both schools located in West Frankfort, Ill.).

She received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013.  She also earned her master's degree in athletic training from the University of Arkansas in 2015.

Cook is a native of Toluca, Ill.
