Quentin Evers, a Sioux Falls, S.D. native, begins his second year as an assistant baseball coach for Dakota State University. His primary duties are serving as the hitting coach, recruiting, game day preparation, and various program operations.
Prior to being named an assistant baseball coach at Dakota State, Evers served as a head baseball coach in the Renner, S.D., Legion Baseball Post 307 organization.
After a highly decorated high school playing career, Evers attended NCAA Division II University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D., for three years. He then transferred to Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa.
Evers was an All-Conference infielder during his collegiate career. In his senior year, he led the team with a .331 batting average, 32 RBIs, 31 drawn walks, and had a .468 on-base percentage while tallying 13 extra-base hits with seven doubles and six home runs.
Evers graduated from Briar Cliff with a degree in psychology and applied behavior analysis with a minor in criminal justice.
