Tampa Scott IV, a former star player of Coach Williamson, is now a graduate assistant on staff here at Dakota State.
Scott ended his playing career at Dakota Wesleyan University as a 1,000-point collegiate scorer averaging 13.6 points, 3.2 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game in his senior campaign, where he earned GPAC First Team All-Conference honor.
Before Dakota Wesleyan, he played at the University of Saint Katherine (Calif.), also earning Cal Pac All-Conference honors. Scott started his college career at Mesa Community College (Ariz.) and prior to Mesa CC was a 2019 Arizona 5A State Championship team for Gilbert high school.
Scott brings tremendous player development skills, collegiate playing experience and an understanding of what Coach Williamson’s program philosophy. He plans to earn his master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence at Dakota State University.
