MADISON, S.D. – (RV) Dakota State (13-6 overall, 9-5 Frontier) cruised to a 3-0 sweep over Dickinson State (N.D.) (9-9, 5-8 Frontier) in the Frontier Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon at DSU Fieldhouse. The Trojans dominated on both sides of the net, winning by scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-17.
Dakota State raised their home court record to 8-2 this season, with all of eight matches resulting in 3-set sweeps in the Frontier Conference matches. The Trojans concluded their season-high five-match home stand with a 4-1 record, despite a 3-2 setback to No. 8 ranked Bellevue (Neb.) on Oct. 8.

Team Highlights
Dakota State fired at a blistering .376 hitting percentage as a team, finishing with 45 kills and just 10 errors on 93 swings. The Trojans opened the match hitting .444 in the first set and never looked back, also recording a season-best eight total blocks (4 solo, 8 assisted).
The defense limited Dickinson State to just 23 kills and a .033 attack percentage. DSU also tallied 43 digs and four service aces.
Key Performers
- Halle Bruflat led all hitters with 13 kills on .458 hitting, adding three digs.
- Tristyn Maras smashed nine kills. She added three blocks and 11 points overall.
- Maddi Langerock contributed the offense with 31 assists, six kills, and a .600 attack percentage. She added four digs.
- Lauryn Kloth anchored the front line with five kills and five blocks.
- Sophie Tuttle added seven kills and two blocks, while Macey Wathen posted five kills and a service ace.
- Kate VanRooyan paced the back row with 13 digs and two assists, and Daynica Witzel contributed nine digs.

Set 1 – Dakota State 25, Dickinson State 11
The Trojans surged ahead early with strong blocking from Kloth and Langerock and efficient attacking from Bruflat and Maras. DSU hit .444 in the frame while limiting the Blue Hawks to .030.
Set 2 – Dakota State 25, Dickinson State 15
Langerock spread the offense beautifully, finding Bruflat, Tuttle, and Kloth for quick kills. Maras and Kloth combined for four block assists as DSU pushed ahead mid-set and closed it out on a Wathen kill.
Set 3 – Dakota State 25, Dickinson State 17
After an early Blue Hawks lead, the Trojans responded with a 9-2 run sparked by Van Rooyan's serving and Bruflat's dominant swing. Maras and Tuttle sealed the match with back-to-back kills to complete the sweep.
