ASHLAND, Neb. – Two (RV) Dakota State (S.D.) women's runners hit season best 6K time Saturday morning in their final regular season meet in the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic, hosted by Doane (Neb.) and College of Saint Mary (Neb.). Two hundred runners from over 25 teams competed at Mahoney State Park.
Dakota State finished eighth overall as a team with 259 points. The Trojans were the top Frontier Conference team place finisher, defeating Dickinson State (N.D.), Bellevue (Neb.) and Montana Western.
No. 9 ranked College of Idaho won the team title with 42 points, followed by No. 13 Saint Mary (Kan.) second with 75 points. No. 15 Kansas Wesleyan was third with 100 points and No. 19 Benedictine (Kan.) fourth with 115 points.
Grace Steinmetz of Bellevue won the individual 6K title in 20 minutes, 48.03 seconds.
