BILLINGS, Mont. – Dakota State (S.D.) placed fifth in the team standings at the 2025 Frontier Conference Men's Cross Country Championship at Amend Park, hosted by Rocky Mountain (Mont.) Friday. The Trojans totaled 137 points with all five scorers finishing inside the Top 40.
No. 6 ranked Rocky Mountain captured the Frontier Conference team title for the first time since 2020, recording 38 points. The Battlin' Bears snapped No. 20 ranked Carroll's (Mont.) streak of four consecutive titles.
The Saints were second with 50 points. Bellevue (Neb.) edged out Montana Tech by one point for third place (126-127).
Justin Morgan of Montana Tech won the individual title with a time of 24 minutes, 47.8 seconds. A total of 102 runners completed the 8K race, facing windy and cold conditions.

The 2025 Frontier Conference Cross Country Championships officially ended the Dakota State's cross-country season. Harr and Blake Schmeidt (unable to run in the conference meet due to an injury) are the two seniors that ended their collegiate cross-country career at DSU.
