DALLAS, Texas – Five Dakota State's (S.D.) long distance runners competed in the third annual NAIA Marathon Classic at BMW Dallas Marathon Sunday morning.
Brooke Beaucaire ran in her third consecutive NAIA Marathon Classic for the Trojans. She finished 10
th overall in the NAIA division with a time of 3 hours, 11 minutes, and 56 seconds. Her time is the second fastest time in the all-time DSU women's marathon school history.
Beaucaire holds the all-time DSU school marathon time of 3 hours, 4 minutes, 10 seconds in 2024 NAIA Marathon Classic in Sacramento, Calif.
Four Dakota State men's runners competed in the marathon.
Caleb Sayler, who was running in his first NAIA Marathon Classic at DSU, finished 24
th overall in the NAIA division with a time of 2 hours, 41 minutes, and 40 seconds.
Joshua Tucker,
Jonah Thiele, and
Reese Henrie competed in their second straight NAIA Marathon Classic. Tucker finished 28
th in the NAIA division with a time of 2 hours, 45 minutes, and 56 seconds. Thiele added a 32
nd place finish in 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 20 seconds. Henrie was unable to complete the marathon race.
Dakota State finished sixth in the men's team standings with 51 points.
DSU heads to their Christmas break and returns to action in the New Year on Jan. 10. The Trojans travel to Yankton, S.D., to compete in the Mount Marty (S.D.) Opener at Ruth Donohoe Fieldhouse.
