LINCOLN, Neb. – Two Dakota State (S.D.) athletes competed on the first day of NCAA Division I indoor track & field meet hosted by the University of Nebraska, the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational. The two-day indoor track & field meet featured numerous athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA schools.
Chantz Minear led the Trojans with a time of 7.97 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles prelims. He advanced to the finals on Saturday after finishing third overall in the prelims.
Lukas Bennett clocked a time of seven seconds (6.994 seconds) in the 60-meter dash prelims, finishing 15
th overall and did not advance to the finals.
Dakota State continues their action Saturday on the second day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln.
