MARION, Ind. – Dakota State (S.D.) added another NAIA All-America athlete on the final day of the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Friday afternoon, marking the end of the era for legendary head coach Anthony Drealan who will be retiring from coaching. 

Chantz Minear competed in the NAIA men's 110-meter hurdles finals for the Trojans.  He finished sixth with a time of 14.20 seconds, earning his first Outdoor Track & Field All-America status at DSU.

Minear accumulated his fifth overall NAIA All-America award at Dakota State, with four total All-American awards coming from the indoor season (back-to-back seasons of heptathlon and 60-meter hurdles All-America in 2024 and 2025).

The three-day NAIA national meet was being hosted by Indiana Wesleyan for the third consecutive year.  Friday officially marked the end of the 2024-25 Dakota State's athletics' season.

Drealan also ended his career at Dakota State for a total of 19 seasons combined as an athlete and a coach.  He was an All-America cross country and track & field runner, assistant coach, and head coach during his career at DSU. 

He was named to the DSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023 as an athlete and a member on the 2009 Dakota Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship team. 

Drealan had racked up 17 North Star Athletic Association Coach-of-the-Year awards combined in cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field.
