NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The (RV) Dakota State (S.D.) volleyball team powered past William Penn (Iowa) in straight sets (25-14, 25-11, 25-13) Friday evening at the CNOS Fieldhouse, handing the WPU their first defeat of the season. The Trojans improved to 2-0 on the year with a balanced and efficient offensive attack, while limiting the Statesmen to just 15 kills.

Dakota State is one of the six Frontier Conference schools that are competing in the two-day Siouxland Invitational.  The conference schools include DSU, Bismarck State (N.D.), Dickinson State (N.D.), Mayville State (N.D.), Rocky Mountain (Mont.), and Valley City State (N.D.).

Match Summary
Dakota State took control early, jumping out to a 7–0 lead in the first set and never looking back. The Trojans finished the night with a .344 hitting percentage, highlighted by dominant second (.394) and third sets (.517). Their defense was just as sharp, holding William Penn to a .013 hitting clip across three sets.
