MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State University will induct five individuals into the Athletics Hall of Fame during Trojan Days homecoming weekend. The 29
th annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Friday evening, Sept. 26, at Dakota Prairie Playhouse.

The homecoming weekend kicks off with the picnic at the tailgate area (under the tent) at 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26. At 3 p.m., football alumni and guests are welcome to attend football practice.
The Trojans Together Social will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Beacom PREMIER Complex on the second floor. The Hall of Fame social will start at 6 p.m. at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse, followed by the induction ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
Dakota Sate holds their homecoming parade on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 9:30 a.m., with the tailgate starting at 11 a.m. at the east side of the Brian Kern Family Stadium's parking lot. The Trojans host Southern Oregon in the annual Trojan Day homecoming football game, with the kick-off starting at 2 p.m. on Blankley Field.
The Class of 2025 includes Robin (Hagen) His Law '87, Brian McDermott (posthumously), Ted Sees '03, Danielle (Rowe) Van Peursem '12, and Larry Voss '03.
Robin (Hagen) His Law (Class of 1987) was a dual-sport athlete at Dakota State, excelling in both volleyball and women's basketball. She was first ever Trojan volleyball athlete to receive the NAIA District 12 honor, as well as collecting South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference (SDIC) All-Conference. She led in kills and scoring during her senior year. His Law was also a four-year letter winner in basketball and earned the SDIC All-Conference award in her senior season.
Brian McDermott (posthumously) was a former head coach at Dakota State that took to their first ever NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Final Four in program history in 1992. He collected 117 victories during his 10-year tenure at DSU. He led the Trojans to their first winning season in 23 years during the 1990 season. He accumulated over 500 wins before passing away in 2023.
Ted Sees (Class of 2003) was one of the top cross-country runners in Dakota State history. He is one of the several DSU cross country runners that earned four All-Conference cross-country honors. Sees had produced numerous school records in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. He competed at the national meets in all three sports, placing as high as 39
th during the 2001 national cross-country meet.
Danielle (Rowe) Van Peursem (Class of 2012) excelled in women's high jump at DSU. She is the only three-time women's high jumper in program history to collect three consecutive NAAIA Indoor Track & Field All-America awards. She recorded a combined six-time Dakota Athletic Conference champion in high jump (indoor and outdoor).
Larry Voss (Class of 2003), as a nose guard in the late 1990's, sparked the Trojans' defense with a winning record in 1998. He was named to the NAIA Football All-America Second Team, as well as collecting SDIC All-Conference honors during his time at Dakota State.
Sees, Van Peursem, and Voss were selected the Dakota State University's annual most outstanding athletes.
