MADISON, S.D. – The Frontier Conference presented the 2026 Champions of Character recipients for women's and men's indoor track & field, presented by our partner WinWon Technologies. They were recognized at the conclusion of the conference meet Sunday afternoon at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.

Head coaches were asked to select one student athlete per team he or she coaches to receive this prestigious award. The award recognizes student-athletes who best exemplify the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character initiative: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
Dakota State's

Ben Witt were selected as the Frontier Conference Indoor Track & Field Champions of Character recipients.
Kierra Miller
- Hometown: Hemingford, Neb.
- Major: Integrative Biology

Ben Witt
- Hometown: Burke, S.D.
- Major: Exercise Science
- Head Coach Alex Glover's Quote: "Ben has always been a great teammate. He worked his butt off to make huge improvements in his time as an athlete at DSU. He is someone that has always led by example. He deserves the award."
Dakota State prepares for the three-day NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend in Gainesville, Fla.
Tysen Grinde and
Amelie Steins will compete at the national meet in the multi-events, while the official national qualifiers list will be announced soon this week.
