LINCOLN, Neb. – Seven Dakota State (S.D.) men's athletes competed on the first day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Friday afternoon at Bob Devaney Center. The NCAA Division I meet was hosted by the University of Nebraska, featuring athletes from all collegiate levels from NCAA Division I to NAIA schools.
Lukas Bennett clocked a time of 6.94 seconds to place 12
th in the 60-meter dash for the Trojans.
Jagger Lombard added a time of 7.10 seconds, while
Talon George recorded a time of 7.24 seconds.
Zachary Haugen led DSU with 15.88 meters weight throw mark (52 feet, 1.25 inches).
Oliver Tordsen posted a mark of 15.79 meters (51 feet, 9.75 inches).
Tysen Grinde leaped 6.47 meters (21 feet, 2.75 inches in the long jump for DSU.
Weston Frangenberg clocked a time of 56.22 seconds in the 400-meter dash.
Dakota State continues their action on the second day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Saturday. The Trojans also compete in the Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) Alumni Meet on the same day. Both indoor track & field meets are set to start at 11 a.m.
