GAINESVILLE, Fla. –
Oliver Tordsen of Dakota State (S.D.) competed on the third and final day of the 61
st annual NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championship Saturday at Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe.
Tordsen competed in the shot put for the Trojans. He opened with 14.97 meters (49 feet, 1.5 inches) on his first attempts and followed with 14.60 meters (47 feet, 10.75 inches) on his second attempt. He tossed 14.35 meters (47 feet, 1 inch) and did not advance to the finals after finishing 26
th overall.
It was Tordsen's first appearance at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
DSU finished 46
th overall in the team standings with 5.5 points after a pair of top eight place finishers in the high jump and heptathlon by
Tysen Grinde.
Saturday marked the final indoor track & field meet of the season. Dakota State prepares for their 2026 outdoor track & field season opener on March 21 at the Central Methodist (Mo.) Open in Fayette, Mo.
