MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State (S.D.) and Dickinson State (N.D.) split the Frontier Conference baseball doubleheader Saturday at Flynn Field, with the Blue Hawks rolling to an 11-0 win in the opener before the Trojans responded with a season-high 21 hits in a 13-9 victory in the nightcap.
Dakota State moves to 15-20-1 overall record and 7-6-1 record in Frontier Conference. Dickinson State stands at 17-19 overall record and 4-9 record in the league.

Game 1: Dickinson State 11, Dakota State 0 - FINAL
Dickinson State used a power surge and dominant pitching to shut out Dakota State in the opener, scoring in five different innings and pounding out 16 hits.
The Blue Hawks struck quickly in the first inning on an RBI single by Luis Rodriguez and a two-run homer from Moses Dokes for a 2-0 lead. They added two more runs in the third on a two-run blast by Jacob McIntyre, then continued to extend the lead with solo home runs from Rodriguez (4th inning), Jadyn Roberts and Ty Farwell (6th inning), and another two-run homer from McIntyre in the seventh.
Rodriguez led Dickinson State with three hits and three RBIs, while McIntyre drove in four runs on two home runs. The Blue Hawks finished with six total home runs in the game.
Dakota State was limited to just three hits, with
Connor Raney, Aidan Perry, and
Camaron Haller accounting for the offense.
Tate Williams earned the win for Dickinson State, tossing six shutout innings while allowing three hits and striking out nine.

Dakota State bounced back in the second game with an offensive explosion, collecting a season-high 21 hits and scoring 13 runs to salvage the split.
The Trojans fell behind 2-0 early but answered with a six-run first inning, highlighted by a lead-off solo home run from Raney and RBI hits from Haller,
George Hogan, and
Aidan Marsh to take a 6-2 lead.
Dakota State added runs in the second and fourth innings to build an 8-3 advantage before Dickinson State rallied late. The Blue Hawks overtook the lead at 9-8 in the top eighth inning on a grand slam by Luis Rodriguez, capping a five-run comeback.
The Trojans responded immediately in the bottom of the eighth, scoring five runs. A two-run homer by Perry regained the lead, followed by RBI singles from Hogan,
Cameron Kittridge, and Marsh to seal the victory.
Hogan led Dakota State with a 4-for-5 performance and two RBIs, while
Cameron DeMaria added four hits. Raney, Perry, Kittridge,
Hunter Den Boer, and Marsh each contributed multi-hit efforts.
