MADISON, S.D. - The Dakota State University Trojan League of Legends (LoL) showed great energy in their CCL season opener Monday evening. The Trojans earned an early lead in the first match over North Dakota State in the tower and drake control.
Micah McRunnel led the Trojans with 11 eliminations, no deaths, and 13 assists.
The Bison set an early lead in the second match, winning some vital fights in the top and mid lane. NDSU pushed through the Trojan defense, securing the second match victory.
DSU suffered another strong attack strategy from the Bison in the third match. After losing a major fight in the mid lane, North Dakota State gained some momentum to secure a drake lead over Dakota State.

McRunnel led Dakota State with 10 eliminations and four assists in the third match. Brock Zirpel added four eliminations and seven assists, Christian Lor with three eliminations and nine assists, Cobain Goehring with one elimination and 12 assists and Kenneth Walker with one elimination and 11 assists.
