MADISON, S.D. - The Dakota State Trojan Valorant and Rocket League (RL) teams wrapped up week two of gameplay in the Collegiate Champions League (CCL).
Valorant recap
Valorant played against one of the University of Wisconsin teams in the league, Team Black, on Monday. The Trojans won 2-0 in a best of three series. Aleksandr Billey led the Trojans to a 13-9 victory over UW in the first match with 26 eliminations and seven assists.
The second match displayed a stronger advance from UW. The final score was a two-point difference victory for the Trojans 13-11. Aydan Johnson led the Trojans with 23 eliminations and nine assists.
Valorant ranks No.1 in the CCL league with a 2-0 record this season. The Trojans will play against UWM's other varsity team; Team White on Sunday at 8 p.m.

Rocket League recap
The RL team played against Wayne State College on Tuesday night, losing the best of five series 3-0.
Rocket League had a slow start to the series, falling behind WSC 5-2 in the first match. The Trojans tried a defensive strategy in the second match, holding the Wildcats to three goals. DSU ran out of time to attack on offense, costing the Trojans a 3-1 second match.
The Trojans continued to face a steep situation, falling short in the final match. The Wildcats secured a 4-2 victory over DSU.
The Trojans are ranked No. 6 in the CCL Spring standings. They will play against the University of Nebraska Omaha on Sunday at 7 p.m.
