BILLINGS, Mont. – Dakota State (S.D.) placed fourth in the overall team standings at the 2025 Frontier Conference Women's Cross Country Championship at Amend Park, hosted by Rocky Mountain (Mont.). The Trojans were led by a Top 10 finish from
Valerija Curikova, where she collected her third overall cross-country All-Conference honor at DSU.
Dakota State, receiving votes in the recent NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 national poll, finished with a low score of 126 points. No. 20 Carroll (Mont.) claimed the Frontier team title for the fifth time in the last six years after scoring 58 points. No. 17 Montana Tech followed up with a runner-up honor with 65 points, and (RV) Rocky Mountain (Mont.) third with 109 points.
A total of 84 runners completed the 6K race, where they faced windy and colder conditions. Grace Steinmetz of Bellevue (Neb.) won the Frontier individual champion with a time of 21 minutes, 3.6 seconds.

It was the final career collegiate cross country meet for three Trojan seniors – Beaucaire, Roth, and Sylva. The 2025 Frontier Conference Championships ended Dakota State's cross country season.
