MADISON, S.D. – The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and tin the classroom. The CSC All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Four Dakota State (S.D.) were listed on the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball team. They are (name – position – year – hometown – major – athletic and academic awards):
- Tabor Teel – forward – junior – Colton, S.D. – business – NSAA Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Year; NSAA Women's Basketball All-Conference First Team; NSAA Women's Basketball All-Defense Team; NAIA and NSAA Scholar Athlete awards
- Angela Slattery – forward – senior – Franksville, Wis. – computer science – NSAA Women's Basketball All-Conference Second Team; NAIA and NSAA Scholar Athlete awards
- Bria Wasmund – guard – sophomore – Sibley, Iowa – exercise science – NSAA Women's Basketball All-Conference Honorable Mention; NAIA and NSAA Scholar Athlete awards
- Lilli Mackley – forward – senior – Stillwater, Minn. – biology – NSAA Women's Basketball All-Conference Honorable Mention; NAIA and NSAA Scholar Athlete awards
Teel, Slattery, and Wasmund each advanced to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16.
Dakota State finished another stellar season, finishing at 25-5 overall record and collecting their fifth straight North Star Athletic Association regular-season title. The Trojans also qualified for the NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournament for the fifth consecutive year.
