YANKTON, S.D. – The Dakota State University Trojan women's indoor track & field squad took the distance medley relay team to the Mount Marty (S.D.) Invitational at Ruth Donohoe Fieldhouse Friday afternoon.
The relay members of
Kierra Miller,
Raylee Wallis,
Anna Schneider, and
Lindsey Roth finished with a time of 12 minutes, 55.92 seconds in the race. Their time is the third fastest time in the DSU women's indoor distance medley relay history. They are currently third in the NAIA in the distance medley relay after Friday's race (the time did not meet the national qualifying standard).
Roth, Wallis, Schneider, and
Valerija Curikova held the school record time of 12 minutes, 39.08 seconds in last year meet. Stephanie Warnke, Brittany Young, Laura Porch, and Samantha Warnke registered the second fastest distance medley relay in school history during the 2010 season with a time of 12:43.20.
Dakota State continues their indoor track & field action Saturday afternoon in the NCAA Division I meet, the University of South Dakota Invitational. The first events are scheduled for 12 p.m. at USD DakotaDome in Vermillion, S.D., on Mildred J. Hillenbrand Memorial Track.
