MADISON, S.D. – The indoor track & field season is getting closer as Dakota State (S.D.) released their 2025-26 slate, preparing for a busy schedule with ten different regular season meets. Eight of their regular season meets will be held in the state of South Dakota.

DSU kicks off their season on Dec. 5 (Friday) at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex (SJAC) in Brookings, competing in the South Dakota State Holiday Open. The Trojans close out the 2025 indoor track & field calendar year at Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) Snow Tiger Invitational on Dec. 13 (Saturday) in Mitchell.
The third annual NAIA Marathon Classic is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 14 at BMW Dallas Marathon in Dallas, Texas.

Joshua Tucker will be running in the marathon for DSU.
Dakota State begins their New Year 2026 as they head to Mount Marty (S.D.) meets on back-to-back weekends. The Trojans compete in the Mount Marty Opener on Saturday, Jan. 10, followed by MMU Invitational and Multi-Events on Friday-Saturday, Jan. 16-17.
DSU returns to SJAC for the SDSU Thursday Night Special on Jan. 29, then heads to Seward, Neb., for the two-day Concordia (Neb.) Track & Field Classic on Jan. 30-31.
Dakota State comes back to South Dakota for the Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) Alumni meet on Saturday, Feb. 7. There will be partial members of the indoor track & field teams competing in the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational meet, hosted by NCAA Division I University of Nebraska at Lincoln on the same day.
DSU heads to their final regular season weekend with two different meets, the South Dakota State Indoor Classic on Feb. 13-14 and the Mount Marty (S.D.) Last Chance on Feb. 13.
Dakota State will be the host to the 2026 Frontier Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. The two-day conference meet will be held at Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings on Saturday, Feb. 21, and Sunday, Feb. 22. The schedule of events for the Frontier Conference indoor track & field meet will be announced later.
The 2026 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships return to Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Fla. The three-day national meet will be held on March 5 through March 7.
