HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference has named 47 men's cross-country student-athletes from ten (10) conference programs as Academic All-Conference, presented by Billings Clinic and Logan Health.
Dakota State (S.D.) led the way with 12 recipients. To be eligible for the award, the student athletes must be at least a sophomore in standing and carry a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
Below are the 12 recipients on the conference academic list (name, year, hometown, major at Dakota State):
- Kaiden Akey – junior – Mankato, Minn. – cyber operations
- Evan Armstrong – junior – Aurora, Colo. – cyber operations
- Lucas Harr – graduate student – Sioux Falls, S.D. – cyber operations
- Lane Henrichs – junior – Doon, Iowa – cyber operations
- Reese Henrie – senior – Philip, S.D. – math education
- Holden Jelen – sophomore – Tea, S.D. – cyber operations
- Grayson Madsen – junior – Rosholt, S.D. – exercise science
- Tyler Nicke – junior – Hartington, Neb. – cyber operations
- Logan Recoy – sophomore – Arnold, Neb. – cyber operations
- Blake Schmiedt – senior – Dakota Dunes, S.D. – cyber operations
- Benjamin Strunk – sophomore – Hartford, S.D. – computer science
- Jonah Thiele – junior – Olathe, Kan. – computer science
The 2025 Frontier Conference Men's Cross Country Championship meet will be held on Friday at Amend Park in Billings, Mont., at 12:30 p.m. (Central Time)/11:30 a.m. (Mountain Time).
The Frontier Conference Academic All-Conference awards will be presented during the awards ceremony on Friday afternoon, following the conclusion of the conference meets.
